EUTAC Equipment
EUTAC gains from previous experiences and integrates the EU Assessment Mission Kit (AMK), which was developed by JUH/CCD/THW for previous missions. This equipment is already tested in the field and adapted according to the mission experiences. This tool can be used in the different components depending on the special needs:
- Office support/telecommunication support for assessment/coordination team:
2 x EU Assessment Mission Kits with 2 persons will be dispatched and operated to support up to 5 experts on-site. - Office support/telecommunication support on OSOCC/Sub OSOCC/ RDC/other modules or other international organisations (like UNDAC, IFRC...):
2 x EU Assessment Mission Kits and 1 OSOCC Support Kit (all together with 4 persons) will be dispatched. - Subsistence support:
1 Subsistence element with 2 persons and food for 24 Person will be dispatched
(this equipment is already included in the OSOCC Support Kit), or if only subsistence support is required – the support team will be provided only with the necessary accommodation and food equipment. - Transport support :
A maximum of 4 drivers with 4 hired 4x4 vehicles will be dispatched with tool kits and radios for each car. - Medical support:
One team member in each EUTAC has to be paramedic in a second function to give assistance to the members of TAST and the supported experts in the field. - Safety/security support:
Safety equipment like helmets in earthquake missions, life vests in flood missions as well as Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), like flak jacket and Kevlar helmet have to be provided to the TAST and the supporting experts, depending on the kind of mission.
PPE is only foreseen if evacuation of persons is to be expected. Normally, TAST will be sent on-site only in UN Security phases 1‐2 according to Johanniter Soforthilfekonzept, Annex 6 “Sicherheitskonzept” (Security concept).
